It is 5km long and 1km wide and has been a nature reserve since 1988. It is also a designated UNESCO biosphere reserve. There are some very invigorating walks in the dunes and along the beach. The peninsula of Howth Head is 7km away, and has breathtaking views of Dublin Bay and the East Coast.

Botanic Villa accommodation, a value priced B&B, is situated less than 15 minutes by bus or car from Dublin city centre. The airport is 20 minutes away by car. We have a choice of double rooms, twin rooms, family and single rooms all with en suite facilities. All our Guest Rooms are equipped with cable television. Dating from 1885 this historic pub has been in the same family for over 120 years and is excellently located in the centre of Dublin right by Trinity College.
